"The Sweetest Hours" is one of a new series of paintings that are inspired by quotes about time. It features an outdoor wall clock and a quote about time by the Roman poet Virgil.
 
Painted in oil on 13.25" x 7.25" x 2" cradled basswood panel with clock face laser engraved for precision. A sawtooth hanger has been installed at the back and it may be hung from the wall or set on a shelf or other flat surface.
 
A high precision quartz clock mechanism is embedded into the painting. It offers watchmaker’s accuracy and dependability, is equipped with sweeping motion (no ticking), and is powered by a AA battery (included).
