One of a new series of 10" x 10" still life paintings. Each is painted from life in the alla prima technique. An Italian term meaning “at first attempt,” alla prima is typically done by wet-on-wet paint application and completed in a single session with direct, expressive brushwork.

Painted in oil on basswood panel and framed in natural wood color polystyrene frame with sawtooth picture frame hook.
